Born and raised in Bear Lake, Darin carries the legacy of his great-great-grandfather, Charles C. Rich — one of the area's founding pioneers. That connection to the land isn't just history; it's a lived understanding of Bear Lake's communities, culture, and value that no outsider can replicate.
At 21, Darin leased his first fast-food business (1995–2001), showing an early entrepreneurial spirit. He later opened a sporting goods store in 2000 that ran through 2018, growing into a beloved local hub where hunters, fishers, and outdoor enthusiasts gathered. Along the way, he served in local government and worked in excavation estimating, gaining deep expertise in land development, zoning, and infrastructure.
In 2018, an unexpected tragedy — a runaway semi-truck destroyed his store — led Darin and his family to move to Cache Valley in 2019. He channeled that resilience into real estate, where his background in business, government service, and land use became powerful assets for his clients.
Today, Darin specializes in Bear Lake and Cache Valley properties, with particular expertise in land investment, new construction, and luxury lakefront homes. His knowledge of land design, community growth, and local government helps buyers and sellers make smart, confident real estate decisions.
